These are troubling times. And I’ll admit I’m troubled by them too. For people my age and younger, we’ve had a pretty sheltered existence. We haven’t had a World War, or Great Depression, or Cold War, Cuban Missile Crisis, Vietnam. I never had to worry about being drafted. And now we have something that we can choose to worry about. Or, we can choose to convert worry into prayer.
Remember, “The just shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:17). That doesn’t mean we ignore doctors, and public health officials. Of course not. It just means that “Ours is not a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7). And while this challenge our nation is facing with the Coronavirus can seem like a giant mountain, God tells us that we can move mountains if we have even the faith of a mustard seed. (Matthew 17:20).
