Jesus said “judge not, lest you be judged.” And that’s something I take to heart. But the other part of that was Jesus saying “remove the plank from your own eye, before you complain about the speck in your brother’s eye.” He never said “live with the plank in your eye,” he said “remove it”! In other words, don’t judge other people, but govern yourself and your own actions, and understand that just like you can't eat whatever you want and not exercise and drink poison and expect to be healthy, you can't live however you want, and do things that are harmful to your mind and your soul and which keep you apart from a holy, righteous God, and expect to have an abundant life, and expect Him to answer your prayers. In fact, if God answered your prayers while you were being disobedient, he’d be doing you a disservice, because He’d never get you to clean up your act.
Obedience is a Key to Answered Prayer
